UNDP timbuktoo Is Building a Pan-African HealthTech Launchpad and Applications Roll Continuously

The UNDP timbuktoo HealthTech Launchpad is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for African health technology startups. Delivered through the timbuktoo HealthTech Hub in Kigali, Rwanda, and powered by Seedstars’ SIGMA platform, this flagship United Nations initiative aims to scale pan-African healthcare innovations from pilot to continental reach.
Applications operate on a continuous rolling cycle for quarterly cohorts. While Cohort 1 (September 2026) has closed, applications submitted now are actively being evaluated for Cohort 2 (December 2026), Cohort 3 (March 2027), and Cohort 4 (June 2027).

Application Strategy & Advice
Because applications are evaluated continuously on a rolling schedule, applicants are encouraged to submit when their MVP has demonstrated actual user adoption. Reviewers evaluate user retention, active engagement, and real clinical/health outcomes rather than the underlying technology stack alone.
